Copper- Hard Babbitt- A medium speed Babbitt metal consisting of approximately 36% Tin with 51% Lead, 1% Copper and 12% Antimony. Melt Temp Around 360 deg F

Formula “0” Babbitt- A low speed Babbitt consisting of approximately 10% Tin, 75% Lead, and 15% Antimony. Melt Temp Around 464 deg F

#4 Hardware Babbitt- A low speed Babbitt consisting of approximately 87.5% Lead and 12.66% Antimony. Melt Temp Around 473 deg F

RotoNickel - Babbitt (Pewter) – A durable Babbitt metal consisting of approximately 89% Tin with 3.45%Copper, 7.5% Antimony and .15% of Monel which contains Nickel. Sometimes called High-Speed Nickel Babbitt or 4 X Nickel Babbitt, this Babbitt is suitable for bearings which are exposed to high temperatures and friction. Melt Temp Around 466 deg F

All of our babbitt alloys are cast into bar shaped ingots that are approx 8-3/4" x 1" x 2" and weigh anywhere from 4 to 5 pounds (exact weight depends on the alloy). These alloys can also be used to cast into plaster pairs, sand and rubber molds, such as spin casting. Price is per pound, so please order by total number of pounds you would like. If you request less than one bar, you will get a cut piece. Prices change weekly according to market fluctuations.
